Halime Özdemir-Larusso
Producer
Halime Özdemir-Larusso is the main producer of The Dragon's Path. Halime (also known as Hali Oz Larusso) is a British-Cypriot producer and cultural strategist whose work bridges contemporary art, film, and global storytelling. Born in Famagusta and raised in London, she brings a transnational perspective to every project, shaped by over two decades of producing at the intersection of narrative, form, and impact. She is a member of Women in Film and TV UK (WFTV) and Women in Film, Television & Media Italia (WIFTMI), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). As the Founder and Artistic Director of Producer 360°, Halime leads a high-profile international network known for bold, cross-genre collaborations spanning film, performance, visual art, and fashion. Through Magnus Tempus 360°, she cultivates cultural exchange between Cyprus, the broader Mediterranean, and global creative communities, redefining the role of the producer as both visionary and bridge-builder. Her recent credits include the award-winning action–martial arts film Brawler, a kinetic, emotionally charged work that has resonated on the international circuit. Over the course of two decades, Halime has produced landmark projects for leading institutions including the Serpentine Galleries, the British Museum, and the Royal Academy of Arts, known for delivering ambitious productions that blend critical rigour with artistic risk. Her curatorial eye and narrative instinct make her a distinctive force in contemporary filmmaking, equally at home developing visceral shorts as she is crafting long-form feature work. A vocal advocate for Cypriot cultural identity and diasporic expression, Halime was honoured in 2025 with the ‘Artemis Pouroulis’ Culture and Arts Award at the CYDIA Awards, part of the Cyprus Diaspora Forum. The award recognises exceptional contributions to Cypriot culture and arts by members of the diaspora, celebrating individuals who preserve, elevate, and reimagine the island’s creative identity on a global stage.
